Sunil Narine called to Windies A

St John’s, Antigua – Trinidad and Tobago off spinner Sunil Narine has received a maiden call up to the West Indies A Team for the First Digicel ‘Test’ against Bangladesh A in Antigua.

Wilson appointed to ICC Int'l Panel

St John’s, Antigua – Trinidadian umpire Joel Wilson has been appointed by the International Cricket Council to the Emirates International Umpires Panel.

He joins fellow Trinidadian Peter Nero who was first appointed to the International Panel in 2010. Umpires on the International Panel stand in One Day Internationals around the world and are just below the ICC Elite Panel.

The only West Indian on the Elite Panel is Dominican Billy Doctrove.

Wilson said he is immensely pleased with the appointment.

Dwayne Bravo to captain Windies A

 

St John’s, Antigua – All rounder Dwayne Bravo has been appointed Captain of a powerful West Indies A Team to face Bangladesh A in the First Digicel Test.

The 12 man squad includes seven players with international experience. The squad also includes five players from the Sagicor High Performance Centre.

WICB launches Event Mang't intership

St John’s, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board has launched an Event Management Internship Programme. The internship programme is aimed at building the event management capacity in the Caribbean by facilitating active partnership between the Event Management Unit of the WICB and West Indies cricket host venues (the various countries where international and regional cricket are hosted).

WICB advertises 3 positions

St John’s, Antigua — The West Indies Cricket Board is currently advertising for three positions.

The three positions are:

1. Corporate Secretary – based in Antigua

2. Manager – Cricket Development – based in Antigua

3. Head Coach – Sagicor High Performance Centre – based in Barbados

Current Corporate Secretary Mr. Stephen Camacho’s comes to an end this year.

Mr. Anthony Howard, Director of Cricket, has retired following his attaining the age of retirement. Mr. Howard resigned in August but his tenure was extended until November.
