St John's, Antigua - Following is a fan friendly update for most of the Windies and WICB cricket for the upcoming year. While schedules are completed for some, other schedules will be announced once finalised.

Big chance on Dubai tour for HPC players - Coley

Bridgetown,Barbados – There is a buzz among the players in the Sagicor High Performance Centre as they left the Caribbean this afternoon for a two-week tour of Dubai.

Speaking ahead of the squad’s departure Head Coach Andre Coley said there was great expectation as the squad embarked on its second international tour. Last year the Sagicor HPC toured Canada, where they topped a three-nation tournament which included Canada and Bermuda.

WICB Digicel Grassroots Grant rescues Neil Williams Cricket Centre from closure

Kingstown, St Vincent – As a result of lack of finances to cover basic expenses the Neil Williams Cricket Centre was in danger of closure. The WICB Digicel Grassroots Grant will literally rescue the Centre from closing its doors and revive the training programme which caters to 70 boys from across St Vincent. “The grant would breathe new life into the Centre because we were really struggling and we were wondering how we would pay the coaches and run the programme,” said Dierdre Anthony, who is the treasurer of the NWCC Organizing Committee.

'Regional Super50' - WICB rebrands Limited Overs tourney

St John’s, Antigua – Regional Super50 – that is what the West Indies Cricket Board today announced that its rebranded Limited Overs tournament will now be known as. In addition to the new name the Regional Super50 will trial several new ‘super features’ which are geared towards making the games more exciting for the fans and more engaging for players. Principally among the innovations will be a new rule which will allow two bowlers on each side to bowl a maximum of 12 overs each during a 50 over game. The remaining bowlers can bowl a maximum of 10 overs each.

Sagicor HPC team to tour Dubai

Bridgetown, Barbados – The members of the Sagicor High Performance Centre will travel to Dubai for a two week tour. The highlight of the tour is expected to be a 50-over contest against the West Indies. The WICB announced on Wednesday that the tour will be made up of two T20 matches and four 50-over matches from September 19 to October 3. The matches are slated for the Dubai Sports City.
