Trophy Stall to commence Male/Female Softball tournament … in preparation for GFSCA International tournament

Georgetown, Guyana - With the view of ensuring that teams are adequately prepared for the Guyana Floodlight Softball Cricket Association’s (GFSCA) ‘Guyana Softball Cup 111’, Trophy Stall of 241 South Road and Bourda Street, City Mall and the Bourda Market, is the sponsor of the next nationwide Male and Female softball tournament.

This new tournament is set to bowl off next Saturday at various venues around the country and will be used to give players adequate practice with the White-Ball that is being used by the GFSCA in the Guyana Cup tournament.

The Guyana Cup tournament will feature teams from New York, Florida, Canada and Guyana, as they battle for World’s softball supremacy and will be held in Georgetown at various venues on November 8 and 9, with the final being played on Sunday, November 10 at the GCC ground, Bourda.

The Trophy Stall-sponsored tournament will be played in three categories, namely, Male and Female Open and Male 40 years and over with the winning prize for the two male categories being $100 000 and trophy, with the runners-up receiving $25 000 and a trophy.

For the female category, the winners will cart off $50 000 and a trophy and the runners-up $25 000 and a trophy, while there will also be prizes for the Player-of-the-Tournament and the Man-of-the-Match in the final.
