TT drop Kanhai; Carriah in

Port of Spain, Trinidad - Trinidad and Tobago have made one change to their 13 man squad that will host the England Lions at the Queen’s Park Oval from Friday. Left-handed middle-order batsman, Aneil Kanhai has been dropped from the squad following failure to produce substantial scores, gathering 21 runs in three innings. Against Barbados, he was bowled for six, then against the Combined Campuses and Colleges in Round Two, Kanhai scored just 15 and five respectively. Of the 42 overs he bowled in rounds one and two, he had a solitary wicket.

Ramdin wants runs

ST. AUGUSTINE, Trinidad, CMC – Denesh Ramdin is well aware that he was dropped from the West Indies team principally because of his lack of prowess in front of the stumps, rather than behind. The Trinidad & Tobago wicketkeeper/batsman has, therefore, set himself a big target of between 600 and 700 runs during the WICB Regional first-class championship. Two cheap dismissals against the Combined Campuses & Colleges did not help his cause, but Ramdin is working hard to regain his place in the West Indies team.

Ganga leads TT to tense win

St Augustine, Trinidad - Trinidad and Tobago beat the Combined Campuses and Colleges on the final morning at UWI Spec to take the full 12 points in the second round fixture of the WICB Regional 4 Day Tournament, but only just. Starting the final day needing 84 runs to win with five wickets in hand, every progress T&T made was met with resistance by the CCC.
