Fletcher takes four wickets as Grenada bowl out St Vincent

Grenada bowlers and fielders had a superb fight back against St Vincent and the Grenadines to dismissed the home team for 126 off 48 overs on the opening day of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Women’s 50-Over League on Thursday. In the first half of their innings St Vincent’s openers Cordel Jack and Samantha Lynch played well and added 94 on a good batting surface at Arnos Vale Playing Field 2.

Openers put St Vincent on top against Grenada in Women's League

Kingstown, St Vincent: Home side St Vincent and the Grenadines made an excellent start to the West Indies Cricket Board’s Women’s 50-Over League in the opening round of matches on Thursday. Openers Cordel Jack and Samantha Lynch have so far put on 90 for the first wicket off 19 overs against Grenada at Arnos Vale Playing Field 2. Jack, the team captain who also plays for the West Indies at the international level, is on 58 not out, while Lynch is on 23 not out.

St Vincent take first strike as Women's League bowls off

Kingstown, St Vincent – The West Indies Cricket Board Women’s League 50-over Tournament 2010 gets underway today in St Vincent. In their opening match host St Vincent won the toss and opted to bat first against Grenada at the Arnos Vale 2 ground.

The match between Trinidad and Tobago has been moved from Sion Hill due to a wet ground and is now slated to be played at Victoria Park. There will be a delayed start.

Updates in the St Lucia v Dominica (at Stubbs) and Jamaica v Barbados (Arnos Vale 1) encounters are to follow shortly.

Trini girls set to defend title at Windies Women's Tourney

Defending champions Trinidad and Tobago will face Guyana in their opening match of the West Indies Cricket Board's Women's League 50-over tournament in St Vincent. The Trinidadians will be looking to get off to a winning start when the two sides meet at the Sion Hill Playing Field on Thursday at 10 am (9 am Jamaica Time).
