Day 2 Reports: Limited Overs Competition

GEORGETOWN -- Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) registered a big win by 70 runs over the Windward Islands on Day 2 of the West Indies Cricket Board’s One-Day Tournament in Guyana on Friday. There was also a victory for Barbados, by 110 runs (Duckworth/Lewis Method) over the United States of America, while Trinidad and Tobago trounced the Leeward Islands by 9 wickets as the tournament entered the second round.

Regional One Day: Day 2 Updates

GEORGETOWN, Guyana -- Leeward Islands won the toss and chose to bat against Trinidad and Tobago at Bourda in the second round match of the West Indies Cricket Board One-Day Tournament on Friday. Due to rain the start by an hour and the match reduced to 45 overs-a-side. Leewards win their opening match on Thursday, while Trinidad and Tobago are having their first match.

Austin Richards, Romel Currency hit tons on opening day

GEORGETOWN, Guyana -- Austin Richards of Leeward Islands and Romel Currency of Combined Campuses and Colleges hit superb centuries on the opening day of the West Indies Cricket Board’s One-Day Tournament in Guyana.

Richards made 141 as the Leewards defeated Canada by 184 runs at Everest Sports Club, while Currency made 102 not out but the students lost to Guyana by four wickets at Providence on Thursday. In the other match, Barbados defeated defending champions Jamaica by 21 runs.
