Trinis share T20s with Warwickshire

Warwickshire, England – The Trinidad and Tobago Women had mixed results on Thursday as they faced Warwickshire in two Twenty/20 matches on their tour of the United Kingdom. The Trinis lost the first match by one run but rebounded to win the second by three wickets.

In the opening match Trinidad and Tobago rested several leading players as Warwickshire made 115 for seven off their 20 overs. Alisa Mohammed took three for 11 from her four overs. In reply the visitors fell one short with skipper Merissa Aguilleria topscoring with 26.

King powers T&T girls to big win

Wales, United Kingdom –  Stacy King showcased her batting ability with a blazing 108 off 55 balls as Trinidad and Tobago Women made it three wins in a row on their tour of the United Kingdom.

King, the left-handed middle-order batter, continued her good tour as she led the visitors to 339 for seven off their 50 overs at the Newport International field.

Other good contributions came from Kirbyina Alexander with 92 off 78 balls, while Amanda Samaroo (41) and Lee-Ann Kirby (32) also played well.

Trini girls win tour opener

Brighton, England – Trinidad and Tobago Women’s team made a winning start to their tour of England beating Sussex Women on Saturday. The Trinis were led by brilliant bowling from spinner Alisa Mohammed and a excellent batting by skipper Merissa Aguilleiria.

Shiv's son follows in his footsteps

Port of Spain, Trinidad – As Shiv Chanderpaul faces the Indians in the final Digicel Test in Dominica, his elder son Taignarine Chanderpaul will do battle against his regional counterparts in the West Indies Under 15 Tournament in Trinidad.

Taignarine did not get a chance to feature in the first round match between Guyana and Trinidad & Tobago as the rain washed out the two day feature.

WICB Under 15 Tourney bowls off tomorrow

St John’s, Antigua– The West Indies Cricket Board Regional Under 15 Tournament bowls off tomorrow in Trinidad with three matches at Guaracara Park, Gilbert Park and the National Cricket Centre.

In the first round of two day matches host Trinidad & Tobago will compete against Guyana; Windward Islands face Jamaica; and Leeward Islands will take on Barbados.

After the first two rounds the WICB will conduct a one day Player Development Seminar for all players.
