Canada on 43-1 after 10 overs against T&T

Canada reached 43-1 after 10 overs after being sent in to bat first against Trinidad and Tobago in Match 1 of the West Indies Board’s Caribbean Tournament at Kensington Oval on Thursday afternoon. At the half way stage in the innings, left-hander Geoff Barnet was on 25 and Hiral Patel on eight. The batsman dismissed was Trevin Bastiampillai, who was caught behind by Denesh Ramdin off Dwayne Bravo for one.

Trinidad and Canada all set for great start to Caribbean T20

The stage is set for the start of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Caribbean T20 Tournament on Thursday. First ball in the opening Zone A match 4 pm (3 pm Jamaica Time). No play in TCL Group Under-19 matches due to heavy rain

There was no play on the second day of the fourth round of matches in the West Indies Cricket Board’s TCL Group Under-19 Challenge three-day tournament in St Lucia on Wednesday. This was due to heavy rain on the island, as all three grounds were waterlogged.

The players and officials are hoping that the fields will be fit for play on Thursday – the final day of the fourth round. When play resumes at the Gros Islet Playing Field, Trinidad and Tobago will be on 93-1 in reply to 245 by Leeward Islands.

Trinis arrive and get down to business ahead of CT20 opener

The Trinidad and Tobago team arrived in Barbados on Tuesday and immediately got down to business as they look to make an impression in the West Indies Cricket Board’s Caribbean T20 Tournament. The Trinis, smartly attired in their red jerseys and black pants, had a work-out at Queen’s Park in Bridgetown on Tuesday evening and looked quite fit and sharp under the watchful eye of trainer Ronald Rogers and coach Kelvin Williams.

They will get the ball rolling in the opening match against Canada at Kensington Oval on Thursday at 4 pm (3 pm Jamaica Time).
