WICB President hails Women's League as 'superb advertisement'

St John’s, Antigua: The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) on Thursday congratulated the Trinidad and Tobago Women's team for their triumph in the WICB's Women's 50-Over League in St Vincent. Dr Julian Hunte, President of the WICB, issued a congratulatory message on behalf of the Board, and praised the Trinbagonians for their deserved success.

Cooper star of the show as Trini girls take the title

Kingstown, St Vincent: Britney Cooper, the highly-rated Trinidad and Tobago batter, saved best performance for the biggest occasion as she guided her team to victory in the final of the West Indies Cricket Board’s 50-Over League at Arnos Vale Playing Field 1, on Wednesday. The tall right-hander played some fine strokes to all corners of the ground as she ended on 56 not out to lead the Trinis to 157-7 off 48.1 overs as they overhauled the 156-6 off 50 overs made by the home side.

Trinidad and Tobago take Women's League title with three-wicket win

Kingstown, St Vincent: Trinidad and Tobago are the champions of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Women’s 50-Over League for the second consecutive year. They defeated St Vincent and the Grenadines by three wickets at the Arnos Vale Playing Field on Wednesday. The Trinis ended on 157-7 to win with 17 balls to spare. Britney Cooper won the Player-of-the-Match award for her match-winning innings of 56 not out off 72 balls -- to follow-up the half-century she made in the semi-final against Barbados.

Kingstown, St Vincent: Trinidad and Tobago have launched a positive reply to the 156 made by St Vincent and the Grenadines in the final of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Women’s 50-Over League at Arnos Vale Playing Field 1, on Wednesday. At the end of the 30th over the Trinis were on 82-3 off 30 overs with their two main batters at the crease. Britney Cooper is on 21, with a number of powerful boundaries, while left-hander Stacy-Ann King is on 18.

Nero bats through the innings to lead Vincentians to 156-6

Kingstown, St Vincent: Juliana Nero made a brilliant 85 not out as St Vincent and the Grenadines posted a challenging 156-6 off their 50 overs against Trinidad and Tobago in the final of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Women’s 50-Over League at Arnos Vale Playing Field 1, on Wednesday.
