WICB announces ODI & Test squads to Bangladesh

St John’s, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board announced the West Indies One Day International and Test squads for the tour to Bangladesh.

Denesh Ramdin has returned to both the ODI and Test squads while off spinner Shane Shillingford returns to the Test squad along with rookie opener Kraigg Brathwaite. Keiran Powell, the Nevisian left handed top order batsman has also been included in both squads as well.

Carlos Brathwaite, the Barbadian all rounder has received a call up to the West Indies ODI squad.

HYDERABAD, India, CMC-IANS – Trinidad & Tobago captain Daren Ganga Monday praised his spinners for the victory against Ruhuna in the opening game of the qualifying round of Champions League T20, and said the win will improve confidence of the team in the games ahead.

Sherwin Ganga, the captain’s younger brother, blasted 39 not out from 15 balls, firing the Caribbean champions to a five-wicket victory.

HYDERABAD, India, CMC – Sherwin Ganga blasted 39 not out from 15 balls, firing Caribbean champions Trinidad & Tobago to a five-wicket victory over Sri Lanka’s Ruhuna in the Champions League Twenty20 qualifying competition on Monday.

Ganga smashed four fours and two sixes, and shared an unbroken, sixth-wicket stand of 63 with fellow left-hander Darren Bravo, as T&T recovered from a mid-innings crisis to surpass their victory target of 139 with seven balls remaining in the opening qualifier at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
