Ramdin has faith T&T can qualify

Chennai, India, CMC – On the ropes in the ongoing Champions League Twenty20 tournament, Trinidad and Tobago are gearing up for a final push to stay in the hunt beginning with their match against the Chennai Super Kings on Sunday.

Wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin, whose fumbling in a run out situation cost his team the game against Mumbai Indians last week, believes that the semi-final door is not shut despite two close defeats in a row.

TTCB says: No secession on the cards

Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, CMC – Trinidad and Tobago’s cricket authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to West Indies cricket following controversial comments by team captain Daren Ganga suggesting the twin-island republic could compete as a separate entity in international cricket.

In a statement, T&T Cricket Board president Azim Bassarath said any such secession would be a “major setback” to regional cricket development and ensuring West Indies cricket returned to its halcyon days.

T&T go down to NSW in Super Over

Chennai, India, CMC – Trinidad & Tobago once again sacrificed victory on the altar of defeat in another heart-breaking finish as they lost to New South Wales a one-over Super Over following a tie in the Champions League Twenty20 on Wednesday.

Ravi Rampaul conceeded up 16 from the final over in regulation match, as the New South Wales ninth-wicket pair of Moises Henriques and Patrick Cummins levelled the scores, replying to T&T’s 139 for six in the Group-A match at the Chidambaram Stadium.
