Canada cricket team to visit Trinidad

TORONTO, Canada - Canada’s national cricket team is due to visit Trinidad and Tobago next weekend for a nine day tour.

The Canadians will arrive in Port of Spain next Friday to play a two-day game and a pair of one-day and Twenty/20 matches against the twin-island republic’s national side.

Murray lauds victorious TT cricketers

PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD - Deryck Murray, former Trinidad and Tobago and West Indies wicketkeeper and vice-captain, has lauded the victorious national squad who earned a three-peat of Caribbean T20 titles.

On Sunday, the Denesh Ramdin-led TT squad whipped Guyana by nine wickets, at the Beausejour Stadium in St Lucia, to cop the 2013 crown. 

T&T resume training after winning CT20

COUVA, Trinidad - Trinidad and Tobago have resumed training for the regional four-day and Super50 campaigns after winning the Caribbean T20 tournament for a third straight year.

About 40 cricketers have been attending national trails which are currently underway at the National Cricket Centre, in Balmain, Couva, West Central Trinidad.

Guillen smashes third century in trials

COUVA, Trinidad - Prolific opener Justin Guillen smashed his third consecutive century in national trials Tuesday to further press his claim for selection on the Trinidad and Tobago squad.

Guillen slammed a classy 158 following his two centuries scored during a weekend trail match and now appears to have secured a spot on the national side.
