Central, North share title

PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD - Central and North were declared joint winners of the BG Trinidad and Tobago Under-19 InterZone tournament after the final was abandoned because of rain yesterday.

The first day of the contest on Thursday was washed out with play starting early on the second day yesterday.

David Williams confident in bowlers

PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD - Coach of the Trinidad and Tobago cricket team David Williams is pleased with the performances of the bowlers during the 2013 Regional Four Day Tournament and is banking on them to continue to do well as preparations continue for their semifinal vs Jamaica on May 2.

Hillview coach wants Intercol T20 crown

PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD - League champions Hillview College will be aiming to claim the 2013 Secondary Schools Cricket League (SSCL) Intercol T20 Tournament to complete the double.

The 2010-11 champions will start their campaign on May 2 in the quarter-final of the tournament.

Playboys under pressure in South

PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD - PowerGen Sports club have taken control of their fifth round South Zone cricket clash against Playboys at Syne Village in Penal.

On a day when rain played a part PowerGen bowlers were on song and dominated the play. Playboys, batting first, were bowled out for just 65 runs.

$10,000 at stake in Barrackpore T20

PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD - The winners of the inaugural Barrackpore Sports Association T20 cricket competition will pocket a whopping $10,000.

This is according to league official Dinesh Ramdass who added that the runners-up will get $5,000, with third place finisher receiving $3,000 and $2,000 for the fourth place finisher.
