Tosses & Teams as Semis Bowls Off

KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – Jamaica won the toss and opted to bat first in their Regional Four-Day semi-final against Guyana at Sabina Park here Friday.

They have included Jermaine Blackwood for his first class debut.

Jamaica topped the standings in the preliminary round with a perfect 72 points while Guyana were fourth on 39 points.


GUYANA – Shivnarine Chanderpaul (captain), Veerasammy Permaul, Leon Johnson, Devendra Bishoo, Assad Fudadin, Narsingh Deonarine, Trevon Griffith, Derwin Christian, Chanderpaul Henraj, Brandon Bess, Ronsford Beaton.

JAMAICA – Tamar Lambert (captain), Brenton Parchment, Xavier Marshall, Donovan Pagon, Jermaine Blackwood, David Bernard, Horace Miller, Nikita Miller, Andrew Richardson, Odean Brown, Shedlon Cotterell.

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – Barbados won the toss and chose to bat on the opening day of their Regional Four-Day semi-final against Trinidad and Tobago at Queen’s Park Oval here Friday.

Barbados qualified for the final four by finishing second on 48 points in the preliminary round of the tournament while T&T booked their berth by finishing third on 46 points.
