St John’s, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board today announced that the legendary innovator of the Party Stand at cricket – DJ Chickie will relaunch his world famous Chickie Party Stand for the WE vs THEM Series – West Indies vs England.

The Chickie Party Stand will be located at the eastern lower level of the North Stand at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Grounds and tickets cost EC$108 which includes entry to the match, a t-shirt, breakfast and four drinks chits along with other giveaways. The three One Day International matches will be played on February 28th, March 2nd and 5th.

WICB Marketing and Communications Manager Imran Khan said that there has been overwhelming demand for the return of the iconic Chickie to the cricket scene.

“We could not be more delighted to have Chickie back in full force alongside the now familiar Myst Party Stand. With this unmatchable combination, fans will have both options and a fun-packed party atmosphere to jam along with the on field cricket action,” Khan said.

“What we’ve effectively done is extend the WE vs THEM Series slogan to the party stands as it will be Myst Party stand versus the Chickie Party Stand,” Khan explained.

“It’s going to be all good fun as the younger Myst party crowd will go up against the seasoned Chickie Posse who have been clamouring for Chickie return and bring that distinctive party energy to the SVRCG,” Khan elaborated.

Myst Party Stand tickets are EC$75 each and fans will receive four drinks chits as part of the package deal.

Khan also announced that all tickets for the matches are now on sale at the WICB Ticket Office and other outlets.

The WICB had been awaiting the arrival of the replacement seats for SVRCG. Some of the seats at the SVRCG had become deteriorated as a result of wear and tear and are to be replaced. The shipment arrived on island at the weekend and installation is to begin this week.

Selected tickets had previously been on sale online via and at the WICB Ticket Office at the ARG.

Tickets for the matches start at EC$40 for unreserved areas (South Stand lower and Grounds). Tickets for the reserved areas (South Stand Upper and North Stand Upper and Lower) are EC$55.

“It’s really exciting that the lower levels of the South Stand which is a preferred seating area for many fans has been designated ‘unreserved’ and tickets will cost only EC$40 which is the same as the tickets for the grounds,” Khan highlighted.

Khan also highlighted that the WICB will continue its programme of giving back to fans by making a limited number of tickets available for fans who are 70 years and older.

“Our senior citizens who are 70 years or older can go to the ticket office with valid ID and they will be issued with a free ticket as long as stocks last,” Khan said.

“In addition tickets for children 12 years and under are also available free of cost with the purchase of an adult ticket,” Khan added.

Khan warned that English fans are expected to travel to Antigua in large numbers for the matches and have already been securing their tickets so local fans are encouraged to purchase early before tickets become a scarce commodity in the coming weeks.
