St. Andrew through to inter-parish semi-finals

Bridgetown, Barbados - St. Andrew Rhythm will face St. Michael Merchants in the semi-finals of the UWI C.O. Williams Inter-Parish Twenty20 Competition after recording a 19-run win over St. Peter Voyagers when the competition continued on Thursday night at the 3W’s Oval.

Jonathan Carter, Kofie Hurdle and Aubrey Towler all scored 22 as St. Andrew made 126-6 in its 20 overs after being sent in to bat first. St. Peter off-spinner Ramon Greaves took 2-22.

In reply, St. Peter was bowled out for 107 in 18.2 overs. Don O’neal, coming in at number nine, top-scored with 20 off nine balls including two sixes and one four. Roshon Primus scored 19, Shane Ramsay 15 and Omar Phillips 13.

Larando Best completed a good all-round match, grabbing 3-20, while pacer Ackeem Jordan picked up 3-22 and off-spinner Alex Bridgeman, 2-13. Best had earlier struck 18 during St. Andrew’s innings.

St. Andrew Rhythm will oppose St. Michael Merchants in the first semi-final on Tuesday, December 3 at 7 p.m.
