Springer named Head Coach of Barbados

Bridgetown, Barbados - At a Meeting of the Board of Management of the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) on Monday, January 6, 2014, Messrs Kevin Stoute and Kraigg Brathwaite were appointed to captain the Barbados team in the 2014 NAGICO Super 50 and the Regional Four-Day competitions respectively.

This will be Mr. Stoute’s first appointment at the helm of the national team whilst Mr. Brathwaite has had the honour of leading the national Under-19 team.

At the same time the Board also re-appointed Mr. Hartley Reid as Manager and Mr. Henderson Springer, BCA’s Director of Coaching, as Coach for the two Competitions.

The Support Staff for Season 2014 is:

Ms. Jacqueline King - Physiotherapist

Mrs. Shannon Lashley - Trainer

Mr. Rodney Ashby - Analyst 

The Board wishes to congratulate all of those who have been appointed, especially Messrs Stoute and Brathwaite, who will be taking up their leadership roles for the first time.

The Board also wants to state that following the established protocol this News Release is its first public pronouncement on the appointments for the national team for 2014.
