Port of Spain, Trinidad - Kelvin Mohammed, who has declared his support for Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) president Azim Bassarath, retained the chairmanship of the South East Zone of the TTCB when the zone held its AGM at the Tableland Secondary School, on Friday.

Mohammed was returned for his third consecutive term, unopposed.

In fact, all officers in the zone, which is a staunch backer of Bassarath’s administration, were elected unopposed. Samlal Sookhoo replaced Prim Hitool as vice chairman, Ian Lalla gets a second term as secretary, and Rydelle Ramsaran replaces Sherifa Lalchan as treasurer.

The two club representatives are Bhim Saugh and Dusson Meades.

“Our three club reps to the TTCB AGM (on October 26) are Kelvin Mohammed, Samlal Sookhoo and me,” Lalla told the Sunday Express.

Asked if he was supporting Bassarath for next month’s TTCB executive elections, he said: “Yes, we are firm supporters of Mr Bassarath.”

To date, the South and South West Zones have openly declared their support for Dinanath Ramnarine, while North Zone treasurer Mahabir Ragoonanan has said the North Zone reps to the TTCB AGM will also support Ramnarine.
