Sebastien, Shilly lead Dublanc to win


ROSEAU, Dominica - Windward Islands captain, Liam Sebastien, and West Indies off spinner Shane Shillingford stole the spotlight with bat and ball in a match of the Dominica Cricket Association Division One competition over the weekend.

Sebastien hit a century and Shillingford grabbed ten wickets as their team Dublanc steamrolled Marinor Blasters by an innings and nine runs at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium.

Shillingford grabbed seven wickets for 16 runs to bowl out Marinor Blasters for 135 in their first innings.

Sebastien led a recovery by scoring 102 to lift Dublanc to 254 all out after they had slumped to 74 for 6.

He was ably supported by Ray Casimir who scored 63.

Batting a second time and trailing by 119, Marinor Blasters was bowled out for 110 with Shane Shillingford taking three for nine to finish with match figures of 10 for 25.

Damian Dumas took five for 36.

Sebastien and Shillingford were part of the Windwards team which defeated Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) to win the regional Super 50 competition last weekend.
