Scotiabank unveils new Kiddy Cricket Campaign

St John’s, Antigua– Scotiabank will be launching the new Kiddy Cricket Campaign “Let’s Grow The Sport” in the just commenced Digicel Series 2011 which runs through to July.

The campaign which includes television, radio and print ads as well as a 3 minute documentary which will be aired regionally features two West Indian cricket legends, wicketkeeper Jeffrey Dujon and fast bowler Joel Garner. Both legends have had the distinction of playing on the all star West Indian teams of the late 70s to early 80’s.

Kiddy Cricketers preparing for their big day too

Gros Islet, St Lucia– Not only are the West Indies and Pakistan cricketers vigorously preparing for the action in the Digicel Series but the Scotiabank Kiddy Cricketers are also getting into high gear for their debut.

At the lunch interval of the First Digicel One Day International at the Beausejour Cricket Grounds the Scotiabank Kiddy Cricketers will provide an International Interval Display.

Scotiabank Kiddy Cricket expansion continues


St John’s, Antigua– The expansion and re-energization of the Kiddy Cricket Programme continues in earnest. The West Indies Cricket Board and Scotiabank officially launched the 2011 Kiddy Cricket Programme in Antigua, on Thursday at the Scotiabank Headquarters in St John’s.

Scotiabank Kiddy Cricket expansion kicks off with facilitators workshop

St John's, Antigua - The West Indies Cricket Board last week hosted two workshops as part of the expansion of the Scotiabank Kiddy Cricket programme.

Former Test players Kenny Benjamin, Reon King, Omari Banks and Derrick Parry were among the Territorial Development Officers and Kiddy Cricket Coaching Coordinators who attended the refresher workshops which were held in Barbados and Antigua.

First round results of St Kitts & Nevis Under 13

Antigua & Barbuda v Nevis at The Elquemedo Willet Park, Nevis: Nevis won the toss and batted. Nevis 242 for 6 in 25 overs (Ras Powell 81,Colin Archibald 30, Saeed Williams 28, Clydre Smithe 23 not out, Delroy Cornlieus 23, Kenrick Scott 2 for 32 and Brian Baggat 2 for 53). Antigua & Barbuda 120 for 9 in 25 overs (Hugan Tongue 19, Ramiz Erskine 13 not out, Saeed Williams 3 for 23, Akeem Harvey 2 for 14, Phillo Wallace 2 for 24). Nevis won By 122 runs.
