Georgetown, Guyana - Georgetown Cricket Club and national Under-15 batsman Renaldo Mohamed will tour Australia with a squad arranged by a Trinidad and Tobago Company called ‘All Sport’ for a Tri-Nation International U-16 Series against a team from India and the School Sport Australia.

The Tournament will be centred at Bradman Oval and the International Cricket Hall of Fame and will involve both a Twenty20 and 50-Over Series, commencing on November 16 at venues in Bowral and Wollongong and concluding 14 days later.

The team will also play an ACT Under-17 team in Canberra, Australia and following the completion of the Official Tournament, the team will travel to Adelaide, South Australia, for an excursion and a match against the State Under-17 team.

Also on their way to Australia, California Cricket Academy will engage the Caribbean boys in a match in San Francisco on November 16.

The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) has indicated its approval of Mohamed’s participation, deeming it a valuable exposure and among other assistance the GCB will purchase an air ticket and facilitate his travelling to Trinidad and Tobago where he will join the rest of the squad for a Camp from September 27 to 29.

Mohamed is the lone Guyanese selected in the squad with 11 Trinidadians and two Grenadians.

Several years ago ‘All Sport’ had established a working relationship with ‘School Sport Australia’ to do exchange visits for the development of young cricketers.

So far, ‘All Sport’ has hosted Australia U-16 team twice in the Caribbean, and in 2010 took an invitational team from Trinidad and Tobago with the inclusion of Guyanese Brian Sattuar.
