Guyana set T&T 201 to win

PROVIDENCE, Guyana, CMC – Rayad Emrit topped a half-century from Leon Johnson to leave Trinidad & Tobago to chase 201 for victory against Guyana in the first semi-final of the Regional Super50 tournament on Wednesday.

Over GY$1million goes to Guyana clubs

Georgetown, Guyana – Skeldon Cricket Club in Guyana is enjoying a bumper cash bonanza from the West Indies Cricket Board Super Club Assistance Programme.

The club is currently at the top of the money chart having pocketed GY$480,000 (US$2400) as a result of victories by the Jamaican team in addition to sixes hit and ‘bowled’ wickets by the Jamaican players.

Next on the list is McGill Cricket Club which has tallied GY$330,000. McGill’s partner team is Trinidad and Tobago.

Super50 semis & final live on ESPN

Miami, FL - ESPN Caribbean will telecast LIVE the two semifinal and final matches of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Regional Super 50 2011 on October 26, 27 and 29 from Guyana National Stadium in Providence. Each match will begin at 1:30 p.m. local time.

The semi finalist in the Regional Super50 Tournament are host Guyana, powerhouse Jamaica, Caribbean Twenty20 champions Trinidad and Tobago and the Barbadian-based Sagicor High Performance Centre Team.

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, CMC – Combined Campuses & Colleges failed to gain a place in the semi-finals of the Regional Super50 tournament, after left-arm spinner Kavesh Kantasingh and Floyd Reifer combined to fire them to a four-wicket victory over co-dethroned champions Leeward Islands in the Regional Super50 tournament on Monday here.
