Bajans bat first against Trinidad and Tobago

PROVIDENCE, Guyana -- Barbados won the toss and chose to bat in the first semi-final of the West Indies Cricket Board’s President’s Cup against Trinidad and Tobago at the National Stadium at Providence on Monday.


Teams:

Barbados: Ryan Hinds (captain), Martin Nurse, Kirk Edwards, Dwayne Smith, Alcindo Holder, Jonathan Carter, Carlo Morris, Sulieman Benn, Kevin Soute, Khalid Springer, Nicholai Charles.

Semi final lineup: President's Cup

GEORGETOWN, Guyana -- Defending champions Trinidad and Tobago will meet traditional rivals Barbados in the first semi-final of the West Indies Cricket Board's President's Cup One-Day Tournament. Host team Guyana will have a battle with Combined Campuses and Colleges in the second semi-final.

Both matches will be played under lights at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence. First ball will be at 1.30 pm. On Monday the Trinidadians, who topped Group A in the preliminary round, will face the Bajans, who were second in Group B.

Rain Disrupts Third Round of President's Cup

GEORGETOWN, Guyana -- Rain has affected the third round of the West Indies Cricket Board's President's Cup One-Day Tournament in Guyana on Saturday.

So far three matches have been called off due to bad weather. These are West Indies Under-19 vs Guyana; Barbados vs Leeward Islands in Group B;  and Trinidad and Tobago vs Combined Campuses and Colleges in Group A. The other Group A matches between Jamaica and Windward Islands is yet to start.

ALBION, Guyana -- Guyana played superbly to earn a huge win over Barbados on Friday and will be confident when they take on the West Indies Under-19 on Saturday in the third round of the West Indies Cricket Board’s President’s Cup One-Day Tournament.
