BASSETERRE, St Kitts, CMC – Positive half-centuries from Raymon Reifer and Chadwick Walton propped up Combined Campuses and Colleges and gave them a fighting chance, heading into the final day of their third round clash withGuyana here Saturday.

Narine, Fidel share bowling honours

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – Off-spinner Sunil Narine’s four-wicket haul restricted Barbados and gave Trinidad and Tobago the advantage on the second day of their Regional 4Day match on Friday.

The 26-year-old finished with four for 69, a spell that left Barbados on 254 for seven at the close, in reply to Trinidad and Tobago’s 338 all out at Kensington Oval.

Earlier, captain Denesh Ramdin got 88 and Rayad Emrit hit 62 as T&T, resuming the day on 293 for six, lost their last four wickets for the addition of just 45 runs.

Fudadin ton guides Guyana

Basseterre, St Kitts, CMC – Assad Fudadin stroked his maiden first class century to put Guyana in charge against Combined Campuses and Colleges on the second day of their third round Regional 4Day match on Friday.

The 26-year-old left-hander carved out a wonderful, unbeaten 102 as Guyana marched to 320 all out in response to CCC’s 194, after resuming the day at Warner Park on 72 for two. At the close, CCC had stumbled to 16 for one, still 110 runs behind.

Permaul tops Holder and Bonner

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, CMC – A penetrative spell from Veerasammy Permaul trumped half-centuries from Nkrumah Bonner and Jason Holder to give Guyana the edge over Combined Campuses & Colleges in the Regional 4 Day Tournament on Thursday.

Left-arm spinner Permaul, the Guyana captain, grabbed five wickets for 63 runs from 22.3 overs and Brandon Bess supported with three for 38 from nine overs, as CCC, choosing to bat, were dismissed for 194 in their first innings about 40 minutes after tea on the opening day of their third round match at Warner Park.
