Leewards hit record low, CCC take lead

Rampaul, Guillen replace Pollard, Bravo

PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD - West Indies pacer Ravi Rampaul and opener Justin Guillen will replace all-rounders Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard in the Trinidad and Tobago squad for their next regional four-day match against Barbados, bowling off next Friday at Kensington Oval, Barbados.

Sammy back to lead Windwards

ROSEAU, Dominica, CMC – West Indies captain Darren Sammy will return to the Windward Islands squad for their second round Regional 4 Day clash with Guyana, starting here this weekend.

Sammy sat out the trip to Jamaica last weekend, with coach Ian Allen indicating that the West Indies Cricket Board had requested the St Lucian all-rounder be rested.

However, Sammy will take over the helm of the squad from Liam Sebastien who oversaw the Windwards’ 81-run defeat at the hands of Jamaica inside three days at Sabina Park last Sunday.

Crandon wants batsmen to score heavily

Georgetown, Guyana - Even though Guyana came away with a massive 243-run victory over the Leeward Islands in their first round West Indies Cricket Board Regional 4-Day match at Windsor Park, coach Esaun Crandon is calling on his batsmen to score heavily. The 30-year-old Crandon who played 36 first class matches for Guyana, in which he has scored 702 runs with a highest score of 51 not out against
