Rain hits all 3 matches on Day 1
Basseterre, St Kitts - The first day of the fourth round of matches in the Regional Under 19 tournament was completed today across three venues in St Kitts.
Here are the details:
AT CONAREE - Guyana v Jamaica
Ricardo Adams and Gudakesh Motie-Kanhai took four wickets each to put Guyana on top of Jamaica on Day 1. After inserting the opposition, the choice of bowling first looked to be a good one.
Jamaica were in early trouble, being reduced to 10/4 after six overs. Things only got worst as Jamaica were on the brink of being bowled out for 108. Lerroy Lug fought valiantly at the top of the order with 53, hitting six fours and a six in his knock. He lasted 83 balls.
However, the real hero would be Marquino Mindley at number 10. The tailender struck 90 from just 58 balls. His aggressive knock included eight fours and seven sixes. He was the last man out but not before he had led a Jamaican revival to 218.
Adams (4-46) and Motie-Kanhai (4-59) were Guyana's best bowlers. The Guyanese didn't allow Jamaica's finish get them down. They responded with 60/1 at stumps with Tagenarine Chanderpaul not out on 4 while with him is Shimron Hetmyer is with him on 44. Christopher Powell took Jamaica's lone wicket of Brian Sattur for 6.
Guyana trail Jamaica's first innings score by 158 runs.

AT EGSC MOLINEAUX - Barbados v Windward Islands
Gidon Pope and Tonius Simon propped up the Windward Islands on a rain hit Day 1 against Barbados. Some 18 overs were lost in the day's play. The Windwards reached to stumps at 182/7.
Pope, who have endured a forgettable tournament in the first three rounds, glimpsed a little bit of form, striking 47 from 89 balls. His knock included three fours and two sixes. He found a good partner in Simon, who managed to convert his start into a half century.
Simons struck 59 from 69 balls. His knock included five fours. Both Pope and Simon shared in a 103 second-wicket stand after the early loss of Keone George for 6. Gian Benjamin chipped in with a patient 21 runs.
But like the story of the day, the rain had interuppted play and had taken off more than an hour out of the day. When play resumed, the Windwards endured a mini collapse. Roland Cato got to stumps on 17 while with him is Larry Edward on 2.
