Bridgetown, Barbados - Former West Indies batsman Omar Phillips hit a fine 64 as St. Peter Voyagers defeated St. Thomas Warriors by five wickets with three balls to spare in Match 4 of the 2013 UWI CO Williams Inter-Parish Twenty20 competition at 3Ws Oval on Wednesday night.

Opener Phillips, 27, who scored 94 in the second innings of his first ever Test against Bangladesh in St. Vincent in July 2009 when top West Indies players were on strike over contracts but has been in the wilderness of international cricket since that two-match series, featured in a third wicket partnership of 77 off 65 balls with Renaldo Parris.

They batted splendidly as St. Peter chased 151 for victory in 20 overs.

Left-hander Phillips faced 55 balls and struck four fours and four sixes, while Parris, captain of the new BCA LIME Elite division champions, CGI Maple, made 40 off 37 balls with two sixes.

Phillips' fifty came off 44 balls and included four fours and three sixes.

The pair came together after the dismissals in quick succession of Winston Worrell (six) with the score 29 and Jamaican John Campbell, a member of the Sagicor West Indies High Performance Centre, for a first ball 'duck' six runs later.

Former Barbados Under-19 team fast bowler Dawayne Sealy, who made his first-class debut for Combined Campuses & Colleges against Jamaica this year, took two for 22 off two overs.

St. Thomas scored 150 for five after winning the toss. No. 3 Akeem Springer topscored with 46 off 42 deliveries including four boundaries and one six before he was leg before wicket by former Barbados captain and West Indies seamer Corey Collymore.

Diego Stuart contributed 29 not out off 20 balls with two sixes and left-hander Marlon Welcome-Goodman, the only batsman with two centuries in the current BCA Sagicor General Super Cup (50-over-a-side) championship, made 21 off 19 balls containing two fours and one six.

Off-spinner Shane Ramsay picked up two for 27 off four overs.
