Pat Whittaker Pride records second win in women’s T20 cricket competition

Bridgetown, Barbados - M. Pact Pat Whittaker Pride recorded its second win when the Barbados Cricket Association’s Iris Walker Memorial Twenty 20 Tournament continued on Sunday at Bridgefield.

Pat Whittaker Pride defeated Powerade Angela Harris Tridents by six wickets in a low scoring encounter. 

The Tridents were bowled out for just 69 runs with the Pride’s Pamela Lavine leading the way with three for ten from three overs. Isobella Burnham took two for seven from two overs, Shalita Lopez two for four from 1.1 overs, while Shanna Thompson took one wicket.

It was a dismal batting display from the Tridents with Kyshonna Knight top scoring with 20 runs. Deandra Dottin scored just 11 runs, Shanika Bruce scored 12 and five players failed to get off the mark.

In reply, the Pride needed just 13.3 overs to win the match ending on 70-4. Aaliya Alleyne ended not out on 26 while Danielle Small scored18.

This was the second victory for the Pride and takes them top of the table with eight points. The Tridents will next take on Sagicor UWI Blackbirds in the third round on Sunday February 2 at the 3 W’s Oval.
