Georgetown, Guyana - Parika Defenders defeated Savage XI by 31 runs in a feature softball fixture last Friday evening at the Everest Cricket Club.

Parika Defenders batted first and rattled up 182-7 off 20 overs.  Beesham Singh led the scoring with 47 (3×6,4×4), while Kavesh Persaud supported with 46 (1×4,3×6), Mahendra Balgobin chipped in with 35 (2×6) and Aftar Khan made 21 (1×4,2×6).

Arjune Persaud claimed 3-37 and Yusuf Yunnis 2-30.

Savage XI replied with 151-9 in 20 overs. Dereck Ramoutar top scored with 35 (3×4,1×6), Orlando Charles made 28 (1×4,1×6) and Joseph Wallach 20 (2×4,1×6). Kenrick Persaud and Shafeek Mohamed claimed 3 wickets each, while Mohamed Saffie took 2. The game was sponsored by Speed XI softball team.

Meanwhile, Enmore got the better of Everest Maters by 13 runs in another encounter. Enmore took first strike and scored 168-7 in 20 overs. Orlando Charles smashed 91 which contained eight fours and four sixes. Everest Masters were bowled out for 155 in 19.4 overs in reply.

Paul Parsram scored 41 (2×4,2×6), K. Jaikarran 29 and Rupee Shewjattan 26. Suresh Persaud captured 3-23 and Sheik Mohamed 2-15.
