MoBay Sixers book T20 final date with Dynamites

Kingston, Jamaica - MoBay Sixers fired a path into the final of the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) Twenty20 (T20) cricket competition after surprising the star-studded Spanish Town Titans by six wickets in Sunday's playoff game at the Manley Horne Park in Ballards Valley, St Elizabeth.
The Sixers will battle reigning champions University Dynamites in the championship match of the Tourism Enhancement Fund-sponsored tournament scheduled for next Sunday at the Ultimate Cricket ground in Discovery Bay, St Ann.
In the clash two days ago between the teams which finished second and third respectively after the preliminary round of matches, the MoBay Sixers cruised to 99-4 in 16 overs and three balls in reply to Spanish Town Titans' mediocre 97-9.

The Titans batted first on the Manley Horne pitch, but struggled as former Innswood High schoolboy star Peat Salmon top scored with 23 not out. National captain Tamar Lambert chipped in with 18.
Adrian Thompson took 2-13 off four overs for MoBay Sixers.
National batsman Jermaine Blackwood then guided the Sixers to the target with an unbeaten 35, while Myron Wilson contributed 22.
Salmon, bowling his flat off-spinners, grabbed 2-11 off four overs.
Last Saturday, the Dynamites sealed the automatic final place after topping the preliminaries with a four-run win over the Spanish Town Titans.
