Miller stars in Waterford win

Portmore, Jamaica - Sidelined national wicketkeeper batsman Horace Miller slammed a quick-fire half century to guide Waterford to a 130-run win over Passage Fort at Portsmouth in the fifth round of the Portmore Cricket Association T20 League.

Miller hit three sixes and seven fours on his way to making 82 off 50 balls, as Waterford, batting first, posted a challenging 185 for two.

Passage Fort, in their reply, failed to get going and were bowled out for 55 off 12.2 overs.

The victory was Waterford's fourth in as many matches. The opening match of a double- header at the venue, in the meanwhile, saw Braeton Red Caps defeating GC Foster by one wicket.

GC Foster first made 121 for seven, with Braeton replying with 125 for nine on the back of 36 from Phillip Pinnock.

In other matches, Colours International defeated Belmount via a Super Over in one of two matches at Bridgeport Sports Club. Colours scored 105 off 16.5 over and Belmont in response made 105 off 19.2.

The second game saw Silverstone, 180 for 4, off 20 overs, getting the better of Gregory Park, who made 62 off 13.3.

Silverstone's victory was set up by Kenroy Williams, who hit 64 off 28 balls, inclusive of 10 fours and three sixes.

Elsewhere, at GC Foster, Washington 98 off 19.2 were beaten by Kens Wildflower, who scored 99 for five off 13.3. Oshane Wilson with five for 13 led the way for Kens.

Bridgeview, in the meanwhile, scored a six-wicket win over Portsmouth.

Bridgeview courtesy of 47 from Shacoya Thomas made 101 for four off 16.4 overs in reply to Portsmouth 95 off 18.4.
