Merry Boys remain atop Premier League

Port of Spain, Trinidad - Merry Boys remained atop the points standings after the Fourth Round of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) National League Premier Division.

Following their four-wicket win over Caldrac Club on Sunday, Merry Boys have a tally of 94 points, with Queen’s Park in second spot, on the 12-team standings, with 75. Reigning champions Powergen are currently third with 67, with Clarke Road fourth with 66, Comets fifth with 61 and Esmeralda sixth with 60. 

The teams on the bottom half of the standings are Munroe Road (52), Tableland (43), Moosai Sports (39), Caldrac (28), Preysal (26) and Bamboo (24). 

Action will resume on April 5 and 6, in the Fifth Round, with Merry Boys visiting Comets at Pierre Road, Charlieville; Queen’s Park travelling to Wilson Road in Penal to oppose Clarke Road and Powergen hosting Tableland at Syne Village, Penal. 

Also in Round Five, Moosai entertain Esmeralda at Honeymoon Park, Tunapuna; Preysal will deal with the visit of Caldrac at the Inshan Ali Park, Preysal and Bamboo will host Munroe Road at Valsayn.
