Match 8 abandoned due to rain

Scarborough, Tobago - Rain forced an abandonment of Match 8 in the NAGICO Super50 between Barbados and the Combined Campuses and Colleges.

It would have been the second match at Shaw Park in Tobago, a day after Trinidad & Tobago defeated the Leeward Islands by five wickets.

Rain greeted both teams at the venue early on Wednesday morning. There were periods where it looked like a short game would be possible but that was curtailed by further heavy rainfall in the afternoon.

Just after 1:30pm Local Time (1230pm Jamaica Time), the umpires decided that the field would not be ready and called off the match. The abandonment means both teams share two points each.

Barbados move further at the top of Zone B on seven points while the Combined Campuses & Colleges move into second place on six points.
