LICA to celebrate 100 years of cricket

ST. JOHN’S, Antigua – The Leeward Islands Cricket Association is this year celebrating 100 years of organized cricket in the sub-region.  

As part of the celebrations, LICA will be holding a black tie gala event in Antigua.  This event is confirmed for Saturday, 6th April, 2013 at the Grand Royal Antiguan Resort.

Dr. Hunte salutes Elquemedo Willett

St. John’s, Antigua – President of the West Indies Cricket Board Dr. Julian Hunte today saluted Nevisian left-arm spinner Elquemedo Willett on the 40th anniversary of his debut for West Indies.

W illett was the first player from Leeward Islands to play for West Indies. He debuted on March 9, 1973 against Australia at Kensington Oval in Barbados.
