AT EGSC MOLINEAUX - Jamaica v Leeward Islands

Jamaica have given themselves a very good chance of getting an outright victory over the Leeward Islands after destryong the hosts for first innings points on Day 2. Jamaica resumed their first innings on 263/7 on Day 2.

Christopher Powell moved from one run overnight to 25 as Jamaica declared on 304/9. Jeremiah Louis was the pick of the Leewards bowlers, taking 3-55, while Shavon Moore and Shaquille Martina both had two wickets each.

The Leewards in their first turn at the crease was shattered Ramaal Lewis and Roshane Manning. Both Jamaican bowlers took three wickets each as to skittle the Leewards out for just 142, giving their team a lead of 162 runs.

Jeremiah Louis again was Leewards best player, battling hard for his 48. He spent all of 157 minutes at the crease, facing 145 deliveries, stroking three fours and two sixes. He was also the last man out. Opener, Keacy Carty, played well for 38.

Jamaica closed Day 2 on 18/0 in their second innings. The Jamaicans have an overall lead of 180 runs.

AT CONAREE - Guyana v Windward Islands

Guyana declared overnight on 334/9 and that proved to be a good decision they went on to take first innings points against the Windwards. Without a run on the board, the Windwards lost talented batsman, Gidron Pope, who is yet to click in this tournament.

But fellow opener, Keone George and Tonius Simon put on 95 runs for the second wicket. George struck eight fours and a six in his knock of 71 as the Windwards looked to get back on course. But wickets kept tumbling around him after Simon went for 44.

The only other real resustances came from Roland Cato (36) and Gian Benjamin (39). The last five batsmen's scores added together came up to one, and that came from the number eleven, in Darius Martin. Shawn Pereira led Guyana's destruction with 5-43. The Windwards were bowled out for 235 as Guyana gained a lead of 99 runs.

Guyana closed Day 2, batting in their second innings, on 42/3, having an overall lead of 141 runs. Tagemarine Chanderpaul is not out on 28.

AT WARNER PARK - Barbados v T&T

Trinidad & Tobago edged Guyana in a thrilling contest for first innings points. Guyana started Day 2 in deep trouble on 58/6, still trailing T&T's first innings score by 100 runs. An even century from captain Jameel Stuart led the recovery for Barbados.

Stuart batted patiently for 120 balls, hitting seven fours and a six. Fast-bowler, Jerome Jones also fought down the order for Barbados, hitting 46 from 93 balls. But he couldn't quite get Barbados over the line. T&T bowled out the Bajans for 149, gaining a slim nine runs.

Bryan Charles was the pick of the T&T bowlers with 4-33. In their second turn at the crease, the Trinis, led by Jeremy Solozano batted much better than they did in the first. Solozano hit an unbeaten half century, including six fours and a six. T&T lost two wickets but Camillo Carimbocas is unbeaten on 40.

Both men have put on 59 runs for the third wicket so far. T&T have an overall lead of 68 runs heading into the third and final day.
