Windies Under-19s all set for first warm-up match today

TARANGA, New Zealand -- The TCL Group West Indies Under-19 team will have their first taste of action on Wednesday when they take on the Northern Districts “A” Team in a warm-up match. The game (to be played Tuesday evening Caribbean Time) will give the Windies a chance to get quality preparation ahead of the International Cricket Council’s World Cup.

ST. JOHN'S, Antigua -- The West Indies Under-19 team left Barbados on Thursday night, confident of doing well at the upcoming International Cricket Council’s World Cup in New Zealand. Speaking ahead of the team’s departure, coach Andre Coley said he is backing his charges will do very well and make Caribbean fans proud. He added that the team would be going all-out to win the title.

ICC announces match officials for U19 Cricket World Cup 2010

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates -- The ICC has announced the match officials for the upcoming ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2010, to be held from 15 to 30 January in New Zealand.

Jeff Crowe, Javagal Srinath and Brian Aldridge will be the match referees for the tournament, while the on-field umpires will be drawn from the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires, and the ICC Associate and Affiliate International Umpires’ Panel.

All 16 squads announced for ICC U19 Cricket World Cup

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates -- All 16 squads have now been named ahead of the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2010, which takes place in New Zealand next month.

Defending champion India will be aiming to win the tournament for the third time, having previously won the tournament in Sri Lanka in 2000 and in Malaysia last year.
