Hinds mum on Marshall exclusion

Kingston, Jamaica - Chairman of the national selection panel Wavell Hinds has refused to comment on assertions made by out-of-favour opener Xavier Marshall that he has been unfairly treated over the years.
Marshall, who was omitted from the country's 44-member training squad currently in preparation for the upcoming regional Super50 and Four-day tournaments, made the revelations on Thursday.
However, when contacted, Hinds, who along with Courtney Walsh, Delroy Morgan, Wayne Lewis and Cleveland Davidson sits on the panel, directed queries to the Jamaica Cricket Association secretariat.
Hinds directed inquires to new acting CEO Courtney Francis, or honorary secretary Fritz Harris, who could not be reached for a comment.
Marshall, who played one Four-day and two Super50 matches last season, said he was surprised when he heard via the media that he was not a part of the training squad.
He said while he did not perform in the matches he played last season had he been given more matches things could have been different.
