GUYTRAC 20/20 KO cricket bowls off today in Upper Corentyne

Georgetown, Guyana - The much anticipated Guyana Tractor & Equipment (GUYTRAC), sponsored 20/20 knockout cricket competition for teams in the Upper Corentyne area and organized by the Upper Corentyne Cricket Association (UCCA) is expected to get on the way today with 10 matches at 5 venues. 

The competition was scheduled to start on June 1, 2014, but was postponed due to the inclement weather.

Some 20 teams which are affiliated to the UCCA have been registered to take part in the competition which should conclude in one month.

The final and third place playoff will be played at the CWC ground at a date to be announced later.

The following is the first round fixtures:

At the No.70 ground – No. 70 CC will be at home to No.47 pioneer, in game number two, No. 72 All Star will play No. 70 Young Star.

Over at the Crabwood Creek Ground -No. 64 Fighting Marines will engage host C.W.C Rising, the second game will pit No. 69 Red Rose verses No. 72 Cut and Load.

The two games at the No. 43 ground will see No. 43 Scorpion squaring off with No. 68 Turn Team and Guytrac XI meeting No. 48 Challengers.

The No. 69 Vikings Ground Game will be the venue for the No 69 Vikings Verses Young Royals, match and   No. 73 Young Warriors against Springlands encounter.

The final two games will be played at the No. 71 ground with Corriverton playing No. 70 MYO and No. 71 Cricket Club battling Skeldon.

Action begins at 10:00hrs at each venue.
