'Reds' wants Bishoo to live his dreams

Gros Islet, St Lucia– World renowned cricket commentator Joseph ‘Reds’ Perreira presented impressive rookie West Indies leg spinner Devendra Bishoo with a copy of his book – Living my Dreams.

Perreira made the presentation to Bishoo at the end of the Second Digicel One Day International at the Beausejour Cricket Grounds.

Gros Islet, St Lucia- "I want to be a great cricketer for the West Indies. I don't want to be just a regular cricketer in the West Indies team. I dream of great things and being great."

That's the focus of West Indies leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo as he celebrated his Man-of-the-Match performance in the Digicel T20 International against Pakistan on Thursday.

The 25-year-old had a memorable T20 International debut, taking four crucial wickets as the Windies won by seven runs before a colourful crowd at the Beausejour Cricket Grounds.

WICB CEO responds to Guyana's Minister of Sport

St John’s, Antigua– The West Indies Cricket Board CEO Dr. Ernest Hilaire today responded to a letter from the Honourable Dr. Frank Anthony, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport in Guyana.

Dr. Anthony had written to Chairman of Selectors Clyde Butts seeking clarification on the status of Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Ramnaresh Sarwan in West Indies cricket.

Mr. Butts forwarded the letter to Dr. Hilaire for a comprehensive response.

Guyana v T&T now at Providence

St John’s, Antigua– The West Indies Cricket Board advises that the WICB Regional 4 Day Tournament match between Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago which was slated for the Albion Community Centre Ground has been moved to the Guyana National Stadium at Providence.

The match will commence on Friday, March 25 along with two other matches in the 7thand final league round.

Corbin falls for 97 against Guyana

Cave Hill, Barbados – Kyle Corbin narrowly missed his second century of the season as he led a spirited fightback for Combined Campuses & Colleges against Guyana on Friday at 3Ws Oval.

The 20-year-old right-hander stroked 96, an innings that formed the foundation of CC&C’s 251 on the first day of their WICB First-Class Tournament match against Guyana. At the close, Guyana were 11-1.

CC&C recovered from losing captain Omar Phillips to the first ball of the day – bowled by Brandon Bess – to post a respectable total.
