Shiv’s son to make first class debut

GUYANA, Georgetown, Jan 23, CMC-Tagenarine Chanderpaul, son of dependable West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul, is set to emulate his father by making his first-class debut as a teenager next month.

Barnwell wants to shrug off T20 tag

GEORGETOWN, GUYANA - Guyana and West Indies all-rounder Christopher Barnwell said that while he is satisfied with his exploits in the recently concluded Caribbean T20 competition, his ultimate aim is to produce with bat and ball in all three formats of the game.

Race for top three spots on in CT20

Gros Islet, St Lucia – At the end of the action-packed first phase of the Caribbean T20 at Queens Park Oval, defending champions Trinidad and Tobago lead the points table.

The Trinis played unbeaten at home to record three wins and a no-result due to a wash-out, and stand top of the charts with 13 points.

Derbyshire confirm Chanderpaul signing

DERBYSHIRE, ENGLAND - Derbyshire have pulled off a coup by signing the world No. 2 Test batsman, Shivnarine Chanderpaul.

He has signed a two-year contract, with Derbyshire retaining first-option for a third season. Chanderpaul, 38, will be available for all formats in 2013.
