Guyana bat in 1st Super50 semi
PROVIDENCE, Guyana, CMC – Guyana won the toss and chose to bat in the first semi-final of the Regional Super50 Tournament against Trinidad & Tobago on Wednesday at the Guyana National Stadium here.
Both sides are fielding unchanged 11s from their previous matches.
Guyana finished at the top of Group-A with 12 points, following a 103-run victory over Windward Islands under the Duckworth-Lewis Method last Wednesday at the Guyana National Stadium, a no-result with the West Indies High Performance Centre last Friday at the same venue, and a 48-run win over Barbados last Sunday at the Blairmont Estate.
T&T were second in Group-B behind Jamaica with 12 points, following a five-wicket loss against the Combined Campuses & Colleges last Thursday at the Everest Cricket Club, a five-wicket victory over Leeward Islands at the Guyana National Stadium last Saturday, and a 36-run win over the Jamaicans on Monday at Everest.
The second semi-final between Jamaica and the HPC will be contested on Thursday here, where the Final also takes place on Saturday with Sunday scheduled a reserve day.
