GEORGETOWN, GUYANA - Shilendra Seeraj slammed a fine half century as Better Hope defeated Accomplishments by 66 runs when action in the Georgetown Cricket Softball League\Digimax tournament continued yesterday at Everest Cricket Club.

Seeraj made 72 and got support from Sunil Singh 32 as Better Hope posted 128-3 off their allotted 12 overs, playing in the open category. Omesh Ramlagan claimed 2-24 for Accomplishment who were bowled out for 62 in 10 overs in reply. Singh captured 4-10.

Better Hope got the better of Challengers by 7 wickets in another fixture. Challengers took first strike and managed 100-7 in 12 overs with Suresh Boodhoo scoring 27; Kevin Singh picked up 3-25. Better Hope replied with 101-3 in 11.3 overs. Ramesh Singh made 48 not out and Sunil Singh 23.

In the over 35 category, Park Rangers overcame Parika Defenders by 6 wickets. Parika batted first and scored 108 before they were bowled out in 16 overs. Shafdar Ali top scored with 31 as Ryan Singh grabbed 3-20, Ramjit Singh 3-29 and Toney Singh 2-26.

Park Rangers responded with 109-4 in 13.2 overs. Shawn Boodram led with 27 while Danny Mohanram supported with 23 and Mark Fung 22.

Industry Super Kings got pass Park Rangers by 8 wickets. Park Rangers rattled up 126-7 off their allocation of 20 overs, batting first. Danny Mohanram 40 and Eon Abel 24 were their leading run scorers. David Harper bagged 5-13 and Rupert Basdeo 2-18. Industry in reply scored 127-2 in 13.5 overs. Jagdesh Persaud made 50 not out while B. Heeralall assisted with 33.

Savage Masters beat Success Masters by 1 wicket. Success Masters took first strike and scored 140-9 in 20 overs. Roy Persaud was their leading batsman with 24, while Darmindra Mohabir made 23 and Sahadeo Boodhoo 21; Randy Pooran and Rama Malone claimed 2 wickets each. Savage Masters responded with 142-9 in 19.1 overs. Lakeram Boodhoo top scored with 38 as Mohabir claimed 4-29 and Roy Persaud 2-41.
