Grannum leads Banks to victory over Enmore
Guyana Times article.
Georgetown, Guyana - A boundary studded half-century from opener Owen Grannum powered Banks DIH to a commanding eight-wicket win over Enmore in a feature tapeball match on Friday evening at the Banks DIH ground, Thirst Park.
Chasing what turned out to be a woefully inadequate 126 after Enmore posted 125 from the allottment of 15 overs, the hosts raced to victory at 130-2 in 8.5 overs.
The right-handed Grannum belted seven sixes and a similar number of fours in a blistering 80 that effectively sealed the victory for the Banks boys. Eustace Hinds supported with an unbeaten 27, which included four towering sixes.
Earlier, Enmore, sent in to take first strike, found the going tough, collapsing after a solid start of 43 by openers Bheemraj Ramkellawan and Hemraj Pillay.
The in-form Ramkellawan was the only batsman to reach double-figures, batting deep into the innings to score a fighting 64. His innings included six sixes and two boundaries.
Bowling for Banks, Terry Liverpool bagged 3-24, while Hinds and Otis George picked up 2-15 and 2-22 respectively.
