GCB names squad for Pakistan practice match … ticket prices released

GEORGETOWN, GUYANA - The senior selection panel of the Guyana Cricket Board, led by former national fast bowler Rayon Griffith, yesterday named the national squad that will play Pakistan in a warm-up match on July 11 at Georgetown Cricket Club ground.

The 14-member squad reads: Trevon Griffith, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Assad Fudadin, Leon Johnson, Narsingh Deonarine, Christopher Barnwell (vice-captain), Anthony Bramble, Steven Jacobs, Veerasammy Permaul (captain), Devendra Bishoo, Rajiv Ivan, Zaheer Mohamed, Paul Wintz, and Keon Joseph. The manager is Alvin Johnson and the coach is Esaun Crandon.

This match will give the tourists some practice ahead of their two One-Day Internationals matches against the West Indies on July 14 and 16, at the Guyana National Stadium in Providence.

Meanwhile, tickets for both matches are expected to go on sale from today at the GCB’s Regent Street Office, with patrons being asked to pay $3 500, $2 500, and $2 000 each, for the Green, Red, Orange and Grass Mound on Sunday July 14.

For the second ODI which will be played on Tuesday July 16, patrons will be charged $3 000, $2 000 and $1 500 each, for the respective stands already mentioned above.
