Everest, GYO teams confirmed for Goodwill T20 tournament

Georgetown, Guyana - Everest Cricket Club and Gandhi Youth Organisation (GYO) have announced their respective team to compete in today’s first-ever Goodwill Republic Twenty20 Cricket Festival.

The four-team tournament will be played at the Bath Settlement Community Centre ground, West Coast Berbice. The other two teams are West Berbice Cricket Association Super Kings and D’Edward Sports Club.

The event will see a plethora of national Twenty20 players in action, while there will be a surprise appearance from a national cricket icon in Guyana.

According to the coordinator Abel Seetaram, there will also be lots of side attractions, so fans can celebrate Mashramani in Berbice in grand style.

Admission to the venue is minimal and patrons will have a chance of winning gate prizes.

The Everest team reads: Troy Gonsalves (captain), Joseph Perry, Javed Rasheed, Chanderpal Hemraj, Shaheed Mohamed, Mohan Ramdeen, Azad Mohamed, Christopher Surat, Ryan Dhanraj, Riyad Sattaur, Rishi Heralall and Tapash Singh.

The GYO squad reads: W. Walker, C. Deonarine, G. Suknandan, G. DeRoche, B. Sukram, D. Ramjattan, K. Crosse, T. France, M. Jeenarine, R. Hoyte, C. Reid, A. Ifill, A. Rahim and S. Hiralall.
