Essequibo Coast…Fisher overcome Suddie by 6 runs to book place in finals

Georgetown, Guyana - Fisher Primary School have booked their place in the Essequibo Coast finals after defeating Suddie Primary by six runs when the Scotia Bank nationwide Kiddy Cricket Festival continued recently at Imam Bacchus ground, Affiance on the Essequibo Coast.
Fisher batted first and managed 113 with a top score of 11 coming from Sylvan Williams. Hemant Singh took 4 – 2 for Suddie who responded with 107. Extras contributed 24 and Chaitram Seurattan took 3 wickets.
In the semi finals, Fisher overcame Taymouth Manor by 81 runs. Fisher took first strike and rattled up 164. Extras led with 44, while Saeed Hack and Sylvan Williams made 12 and 11 respectively. In their turn at the crease, Taymouth Manor could only muster 83 with extras contributing a healthy 42 and Azaria Browne took 3-1.
Queenstown Primary went down to Suddie Primary by 62 runs. Batting first Suddie posted 131 with Ashton John scoring 15. Queenstown responded with 79. Azizi Christiani stroked 14 while Natasha Peters took 3-3.
The Essequibo coast finals will be played on the February 13 at the same venue.
