Eight Barbadians in CCC Super50 squad
Bridgetown, Barbados - Eight Barbadians are included in a 13-man Combined Campuses & Colleges (CCC) squad for the first semi-final match against Trinidad & Tobago in the WICB Super50 championship at Kensington Oval on Thursday, April 18.
The eight are captain Kyle Corbin, fellow batsmen Anthony Alleyne, Nekoli Parris, Raymon Reifer and Floyd Reifer, fast bowlers Kevin McClean and Marques Clarke and off-spinner Ryan Austin.
Raymon Reifer is also a left-arm medium-pacer and Parris is a handy off-spinner.
There are three Jamaicans in opener Shacaya Thomas, wicket-keeper/batsman Chadwick Walton and leg-spinner Akeem Dewar.
Batsman Nicholas Alexis of Trinidad & Tobago and fast bowler Kesrick Williams, who comes from St. Vincent & the Grenadines, complete the squad.
Clarke is the only player yet to make his Super50 debut, while this is expected to be the last season of regional cricket for 40-year-old player/coach Floyd Reifer.
All matches in the Final Four will be played as Day/Night, beginning at 2.30 p.m.
Title holders Jamaica and Windward Islands clash in the other semi-final on Friday, April 19, with the final slated for Sunday, April 21.
