East Coast Cricket Board recommences its competitions

Georgetown, Guyana - The East Coast Cricket Board (ECCB) recommences its competitions on Saturday August 23, 2014. The first division competition is at the final stage with Ogle Sports Club and Lusignan Sports Club scheduled to clash for the title.

The Second division is at the semi-finals stages and the Board would like to wrap up this tournament and launch the Carib T20 competition which is scheduled to conclude under lights, a release from the board stated.   Fixtures for the ongoing Trophy Stall under nineteen tournament will be released shortly.

The ECCB Competitions Committee recently visited the grounds on the East Coast and several require preparations to restart the competitions. While assurances were given by the Neighborhood Democratic Councils (NDCs) to have the grounds put in order for the date set for the recommencement of the competitions, the ECCB is calling on all clubs to ensure that this is done the release stated.

It is important to have all the venues in full participation since the ECCB is looking forward to completing all the above competitions/tournaments and re-launch the ELIZABETH STYLES first division before the rainy weather steps in.  Chairman of the Competitions Committee can be contacted on 220-1636 or 626-0223, the release informed.
