Dutch bat vs the CCC
Bridgetown, Barbados - Action in the Caribbean Twenty20 continue today as the cameras turn to Group B. In the day's first match, the struggling Dutch, who are yet to register a point after two matches take on the Combined Campuses and Colleges.
Netherlands won the toss and elected to bat first. The tournament may be virtually over for the Dutch but a loss in today's first fixture will cement that. The CCC on the other hand have all to play for as they are placed third on the five team table with one more match to come. They are joint with Sussex on 4 four points but only lead by virtue of a better net run rate. They cannot afford any slip-ups or the English boys could make a case to chase a late semi-final spot.
As it stands though, Group B leaders and favourites, Barbados and Jamaica, are poised to make the knockout stage and it will take a late surge for either the CCC or the Sharks to eclipse them at the top. Sussex will have a chance to blow Group B open later this evening when they take on Group leaders, Jamaica.
