Port of Spain, Trinidad - Led by captain Amrita Bissoon, Cunupia Secondary School won its fifth consecutive Central Zone Secondary School T20 Girls Open Division cricket title, despite a lack of adequate playing facilities.

On numerous occasions, Cunupia was forced to practise on a small paved area on the school's compound, but the players and coaching staff did not allow these adverse conditions stand in their way.

In the final against ASJA Girls College on March 11, Cunupia's Sapphire Douglas top scored with 18 to lead the team to a three-wicket win. Bowling first, Cunupia dismissed ASJA for 113 in 19 overs. Cunupia lost wickets in the run chase but prevailed, getting to the target in 15.1 overs.

In the earlier stages of the tournament, Cunupia was perfect, winning all five of its matches.
