Murray lauds victorious TT cricketers

PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD - Deryck Murray, former Trinidad and Tobago and West Indies wicketkeeper and vice-captain, has lauded the victorious national squad who earned a three-peat of Caribbean T20 titles.

On Sunday, the Denesh Ramdin-led TT squad whipped Guyana by nine wickets, at the Beausejour Stadium in St Lucia, to cop the 2013 crown. 

Barnwell wants to shrug off T20 tag

GEORGETOWN, GUYANA - Guyana and West Indies all-rounder Christopher Barnwell said that while he is satisfied with his exploits in the recently concluded Caribbean T20 competition, his ultimate aim is to produce with bat and ball in all three formats of the game.

Lambert defends his Jamaica captaincy

KINGSTON, Jamaica - Jamaica’s skipper Tamar Lambert has defended his captaincy, the subject of debate here, after his side was knocked out at the penultimate stage of the Caribbean T20 tournament.

Jamaica failed to successfully defend a strong total of 183 after Gutsy Guyana rallied back to eliminate them from Saturday’s play-off.
